I’ve been doing this shit forever but I think that might be the best XC race lap I’ve seen.
This track is ideal for keeping speed and flow. There is 1200' of climbing but it almost feels as though you are always descending.
Looks super cool, thinking you could just run a rigid on that one. Surprised you didn't run into Johnny and Eli out there, putting in the miles, lol.
You could nurse a gravel bike around this one but the full squish definitely feels nice in the rocky bits. No Tomac sightings. V sad.
Although I set my watch for FCF and enjoy everything you put out. This one is top shelf! Great riding, great comradery, great energy, great views! This is stuff that makes me consider subscribing to the extended stuff! Great stuff. i know, i know, do it already right ☮

Wow, talk about a ride down amnesia lane. I used to ride this back in the early to mid 90’s on my old Gary Fisher Hookooekoo until I moved to Denver. Last time I rode it was spring of 1996 in a snowstorm. The snow was a perfect consistency that you could ride it without issue - about 5-6”. Had the place all to myself, what a ride that was! Thanks for taking us along Nate👍

Fruita rocks! The locals are mtb friendly and so many trails. Horse Thief Bench on the Koko Loops is still iconic to this day.
Always good vibes from the locals out there.
I live in GJ and somehow only go to 18 road once or twice a year. Evertime I head out I think "maybe 18 road today" then I end up at lunch loops😂
It's actually really far away if you live in GJ, ha. Especially with that washboard road to get out there.
